UPGRADE was a bi-monthly European informatics e-journal that covered many diverse topics of particular interest to IT professionals and academics. Established international specialists published papers on research and technological developments during the period of 2000 to 2011. It allowed UPGRADE's subscribers to develop their technical expertise and to broaden their knowledge of informatics.

Established in 2004, this section of UPGRADE was a network of publications created by European informatics societies. It provided a platform for a wealth of knowledge from different IT societies across Europe who regularly contributed information from their own publications to a wider, pan-European audience.
